Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches

Don’t want to have the oven going on a hot summer day, but want something comforting? Savor the exquisite flavors of these French Dip Sandwiches, perfect for a filling family dinner that will surely satisfy everyone at the table!

Ingredients

Makes 6 servings

  • 2lb boneless beef roast

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 6 French Rolls or Hoagies

  • 6 Slices Provolone Cheese

Instructions:

  1. Season the beef roast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and dried rosemary.

  2. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sear the seasoned beef roast on all sides until browned.

  3. Add roast, beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily falls apart.

  4. Shred in the slow cooker or remove and slice.

  5. Slice the French rolls in half and place a layer of provolone cheese on the bottom half of each roll.

  6. Add a generous portion of sliced or shredded beef on top of the cheese.

  7. If desired, you can toast the sandwiches in the oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese.

  8. Serve with a side of cooking juices from the slow cooker for dipping.
